TDP Leaders attack on Vijayamma

Posted by Admin on Tuesday 7 August 2012 | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

YS Vijayamma is gearing up for her Dharna in Eluru to support the issues of students and to demand the government regarding fee-reimbursement issues. But why are they keeping silent on the ‘gas’ issue for which YSR is the whole and sole responsibility, questions TDP.

‘The diversion of gas from KG basin to Ratnagiri powerplant in Maharashtra was a sin committed by late YSR and his team in 2008. Rather raising the issue in public, Vijayamma is writing letter to Prime Minister about the sin. What is this drama?’ asks TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. ‘You want ‘fees’ but you don’t want gas’, stressed Yanamala, saying ‘YSR-C wants to strengthen party in Godavari districts where they lost miserably during by-poll, but not concerned about the loss state is getting due to YSR’s wrong decision’.

Political analysts are questioning what has Naidu and his team done about this issue in assembly sessions. If it happened in 2008, then TDP should have asked about it long back but not when the state is in crisis. SRC: Gulte

Botsa Prepared List of Jagan Coverts in Congress

Posted by Admin on Monday 6 August 2012 | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

A list is prepared by Congress folks and submitted to PCC Chief Botsa today about the coverts of Jagan in the ruling party. Insiders revealed that there are seven ministers and 21 MLAs in that list.

Youth congress ex-president Sudhakar has prepared a list of covert ministers and MLAs who are working for the welfare of YSR-C and are ready to say Jai Jagan in 2014. ‘They are not taking part in CM’s programs and other welfare programs. But they are setting things up for Jagan to strengthen YSR-C by 2014 elections’, he says. After meeting Botsa, he demanded that high-command should immediately take action, which otherwise he wants to give that list to media. PCC chief also promised to take action on those people after looking into the things they have done.

There is really no need to maintain such a secrecy over the ‘covert’ list, as everyone knows who are supporting Jagan. And already, with news like Congress and YSR-C shaking hands with each other, who is worried about these coverts. SRC: Gulte

Botsa campaigns for Chiru CM Seat

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

There was an issue during by-poll campaigning that Chiru’s house in Chennai is raided by IT officials and 35 crores cahs is seized. However, that issue got completely dissolved and even our PCC Chief has forgotten that.

After getting down by Liquor Syndicate accusations, PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana is promoting Chiru to become the CM of state. While Chiru is continuously failing to get grip on the party, he is getting support from many people with each passing day. Recently Botsa stated that Chiru is a clean leader and he has all rights to become CM of state. Had he forgotten about the IT raid that took place at Chiru’s daughter Sushmita’s house in Chennai?

Chiru is yet to get a clean chit in the case and IT department has revealed no single detail about it afterwards. Looks like, Chiru and his supporters settled everything such that they will get CM post, says YSR-CP leaders. SRC: Gulte

8 Olympics shuttlers disqualified

Posted by Admin on Thursday 2 August 2012 | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

As Badminton World Federation disqualified the eight women players involved in throwing their matches in women’s doubles event at the London Olympics, India too lodged a complaint on Wednesday.
Former All England Open Badminton Championships winner-turned-coach, P Gopichand, said India’s contingent had lodged a complaint with the Olympic committee. “The matter is taken very seriously by the organisation and it will not be surprise if strong action is taken,” he said. “The [Badminton World Federation] meeting is on. We hope that there will be some outcome.”
Despite comfortably beating Singapore’s Lei Yao and Shinta Mulia Sari in their last Group B match. India’s women’s badminton double pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwani Ponnappa, who exited the Games on Tuesday.
Prior to India’s final group game last night, the World number five Japanese pair of Mizuki Fujii and Reika Kakiiwa had shockingly lost to Chinese Taipei’s Cheng Wen Hsing and Chien Yu Chin, ranked 10th, 19-21 11-21.
“It was China who wanted to be second in the group so that they avoid playing Japan from another group so they lost and become second in the group. There is a chance that players might be expelled. It’s the system at fault, players are losing so that they can have favorable draws which enhance their chance to win a medal,” Gopichand added.
The BWF opened a hearing on Wednesday to investigate the doubles players from China, South Korea and Indonesia under its players’ code of conduct with “not using one’s best efforts to win a match” and “conducting oneself in a manner that is clearly abusive or detrimental to the sport” in matches Tuesday night.
On Tuesday, Chinese players were accused of leading the way by deliberately losing a game. This led to other teams behaving in a similar way to try to force an easier quarter-final. At one stage both teams appeared to be trying to lose.
World doubles champions Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang of China and their South Korean opponents Jung Kyun-eun and Kim Ha-na were booed loudly by the crowd Tuesday after dumping serves into the net and making simple errors, such as hitting the shuttlecock wide.
The longest rally in their first game was only four strokes. The umpire warned them and tournament referee Torsten Berg spoke to all four players but it had little effect. At one stage Berg showed a black card, which usually means disqualification, but the game continued.
Eventually, the Chinese women lost 21-14, 21-11 and both pairs were jeered off the court.
The teams had already qualified for the round of 16, but the result ensured that the top-seeded Wang and Yu will avoid playing their No. 2-seeded Chinese teammates until the final.
The problem was repeated in the next women’s doubles between South Korea’s Ha Jung-eun and Kim Min-jung and Indonesia’s Meiliana Jauhari and Greysia Polii. Both teams were also warned for deliberately losing points in a match the Koreans won 18-21, 21-14, 21-12. The capacity crowd vented its displeasure.

YSRC Ready For Merger With Congress

Posted by Admin on Wednesday 1 August 2012 | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

Ever since Jagan’s party has voted for UPA presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjeee, political opponents are raising slogans that YSR-C joined hands with Sonia. While TDP is the first one to accuse that way, TRS and CPI followed it, now joined by CPM too.
‘Government is giving legal support to ministers to prove that those GOs are correct. If they are correct Jagan will be saved and this is their core idea’, says CPM Raghavulu. Most of the political opponents of Congress and YSR-C are feeling that even before 2014 polls, Jagan will merge his party with Congress. However, YSR-C folks are strongly denying this.
‘Under any circumstances we are not going to tieup with Congress and there is no question of merger either’, says Goney Prakasarao, YSR-C leader. In turn he accused that Congress, Naidu and KCR joined hands together to dislodge YSR-C. He feels that all parties in state are suffering with Jagan-phobia.
This is the first time YSR-C is accusing a political opponent after the presidential poll. Should we say, equations are not working out with Congress and hence this attack?

Liquor Scam Case Filed Against Botsa in SC

Posted by Admin on Tuesday 31 July 2012 | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

With high court striking off the cases against PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana and others, a petitioner has now filed a plea in Supreme Court about this. With many stunts done by ACB and state government, the king of all scams, Liquor Scam, got diluted and we have to see how SC will react on this next week where they are going to hear it.
One petitioner Giri Yadav has lodged a plea in Supreme Court stating that PCC Chief Botsa, minister Mopidevi and other MLAs, MLCs are party of the 17K crore rupees scam. He mentioned that though ACB has unearthed all the facts along with evidences, government has transferred the sincere officers of the investigation department to slow down and wrap up the whole process in favour of politicians. Giri Yadav requested in his petition to order a CBI enquiry on Liquor Scam.
Surprisingly, opposition parties also cooled down on the liquor scam and no one is talking about it now. Even though ACB submitted their charge sheet in court and HC striking off cases against politicians, there is no buzz in media too. Is the Congress government using its power to maximum?

Why ban Christian preaching on Tirumala

Posted by Admin on Thursday 26 July 2012 | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

The finding of Christian literature in the houses of three employees of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams on Tirumala hills on Tuesday has created a lot of commotion among the devotees. The TTD took the issue seriously and transferred the employees to Tirupati.
But our maverick state secretary of Communist Party of India K Narayana has taken objection to banning of Christian preaching on Tirumala hills.
“What is wrong in the preaching of Christianity on the Tirumala? The Constitution of India has given the religious freedom to every citizen. When the TTD can do “dharma pracharam” in different parts of the state, why can’t Christians propagate their religion on Tirumala?” he asked.
Interestingly, Narayana hails from Tirupati town and he must be definitely aware of the sentiments of the Hindu devotees. Though there are quite a few CPI activists in the town, they are all devotees of Lord Venkateshwara and do not interfere in the religious affairs of the temple. One does not know in what context Narayana made the remarks,  but he has definitely stirred the sentiments of the people.

'Pranab Is Not Against Telangana'

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

Veteran Congress leader and President of India-elect Pranab Mukherjee is not against the formation of Telangana, as many leaders from the region feel. He, in fact, is of the view that it is better to grant Telangana state to end uncertainty in Andhra Pradesh.
This was the opinion expressed by senior Telangana leader and former Rajya Sabha member K Kesava Rao, who met Pranab after he was declared elected as President on Sunday.
Speaking to a television channel, Kesava Rao said Pranab expressed view that the Congress party would survive in the south only if the Telangana state was granted.
“Pranab expressed surprise over the change of stand taken by some parties after the Centre asked the State to pass a resolution in the assembly on Telangana. He reminded that the Congress Working Committee had taken a positive decision on Telangana and the same was accepted by the all-party meeting in the state,” he recalled.
Quoting Pranab Mukherjee, the Telangana Congress leader said there was no connection between the Gorkhaland issue and the Telangana.
“In fact, Trinamul Congress chief Mamata Banerjee is also in favour of Telangana. The time has come for the Centre to make an announcement. And no force on the earth can stop the Telangana formation,” Kesava Rao asserted.

Naidu is a thief who can't be caught

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

The YSR Congress party on Tuesday described Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu as a “dorakani donga” (a thief who cannot be caught) and said that did not mean he was a clean person.
Speaking to media here, YSR Congress party official spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said the Supreme Court had not given any clean chit to Naidu, but had dismissed the petition of Y S Vijayalakshmi only on technical grounds.
“The TDP leaders are distorting the Supreme Court judgement. It only asked the petitioner to file the complaint against Naidu before the investigating agencies before approaching the courts. That does not mean Naidu has not committed any crime,” she said.
Padma alleged that Naidu was not capable of managing any system in the country. “But he will be surely caught one day or the other. We will prove his corruption,” she challenged.

Only 300 cops for Vijayamma deeksha

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

How many police personnel were deployed for the “Chenetha Deeksha” of YSR Congress party president Y S Vijayamma at Sircilla in Karimnagar district on Monday?
Well, media persons who had covered the rally estimated that there would be not less than 10,000 police personnel right from Hyderabad to the meeting point.
In Siricilla alone, more than 3,000 police personnel were deployed. The Karimnagar Superintendent of Police himself said he had brought additional police forces from Nizamabad, Medak, Warangal and even Mahbubnagar districts.
The Congress leaders, in their complaint to the party high command, said more than 15,000 police were deployed for Vijayamma’s deeksha, which was unprecedented. It gave a very good political mileage to YSR Congress party and brought disgrace to the government.
Apparently realizing that the police are facing a lot of heat for their over-enthusiasm, the DGP office on Wednesday gave a clarification to the media saying Vijayamma’s deeksha was a minor issue and there were no instructions from the state headquarters nor was there any planning in Hyderabad. It was left purely to the discretion of the local SP to make the arrangements based on the intelligent information.
And according to the media clarification, in all, almost 300 personnel were deployed for the Siricilla meeting. “In fact, when it has been brought to the notice of the Police Headquarters that excess force was used on the agitating mob on the borders of Medak, an enquiry was ordered by the DIG of Police, Nizamabad Range, the DGP office pointed out.
So, if there were only 300 police there, who were the other armed persons?

Chiru to get cabinet berth at last

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

Megastar-turned-Rajya Sabha member of the Congress party K Chiranjeevi has at last got the indications that he might be inducted into the Central cabinet early next month.
According to reports from Delhi, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is likely to expand the cabinet in the first week of August by inducting at least half a dozen ministers. The PM has to fill a few vacancies including those arising out of the resignation of President Pranab Mukherjee and the sacking of Agatha Sangma, daughter of NDA candidate P A Sangma.
While Chiranjeevi’s name has been more or less confirmed, one or two MPs from Telangana also might get a chance as part of the appeasement tactics of the high command. There is a possibility that firebrand MP Renuka Chowdary and Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav might make it to the Central cabinet, sources said.

Will Jagan party drop case against Naidu

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

Now that the Supreme Court has struck down the petition of YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi against Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu charging him with amassing illegal assets, there is a debate going on in the media circles as to whether she would continue to pursue the case.
The Supreme Court, while dismissing her petition, suggested that she can approach the police and other investigating agencies in the state with her complaint against Naidu and others. Only if she does not get justice with the investigating agencies, she can approach the court of law, the Supreme Court bench said.
So, Vijayamma has the option of pursuing the case against Naidu by approaching either the Anti-Corruption Bureau or the state police. But one doubts whether she will use this option, as there may not be much use with such a complaint at a time when the entire system is working in favour of Naidu. “When she could not get justice in the court, one is doubtful whether the ACB or the other police wings would conduct any impartial probe against Naidu. So, it is better to drop the case and take the fight into the people's court,” an analyst observed.

Sorcery against DGP by rival IPS officer

The LB Nagar police on Wednesday received a complaint from a person alleging that senior IPS officer Umesh Kumar had resorted to sorcery against Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy.
According to the complaint, Umesh Kumar had performed a puja praying evil spirits at Pratyangira Devi temple at Ramakrishna Puram near LB Nagar a few days ago. The eye-witness said the IPS officer had written the name of Dinesh Reddy on a white cloth and done some worship with blood, flesh and wine.
It is not known whether the police registered any case, but they said they would investigate the matter. The eye-witness informed Dinesh Reddy over phone and advised him to perform counter-pooja to ward off evil spirits.
It may be mentioned that Umesh Kumar has been fighting a legal battle against Dinesh Reddy over the DGP post. He is also facing allegations of forging the letter of an MP to defame the DGP and is presently under suspension.

How Indians Should React To These Ladies

How Indians Should React To These Ladies

India is a country which has been hailed to respect woman in a great way. However, respect is something which has to be earned and it is not a right. While the tradition of respecting ladies is still intact, it is the acts of few women which has begun to tarnish the entire gender raising many questions.

Recently, model/actress Gehna Vashist was beaten up by a mob for wearing a bikini with Indian flag. In another incident, actress Sarah Jane of ‘Panjaa’ fame was attacked by stones as her film promotes adult content. While that is one side, how should Indians react to ladies like Poonam Pandey and Sherlyn Chopra.

Sherlyn proudly claims she deserves Bharat Ratna while Poonam knows nothing except dropping her clothes in front of the camera.  What should be the stand on these women. As such, there is no control over the ladies and how they have been carrying themselves. But the women organizations argue that men should have self-control. Who will bring awareness about how women should maintain the essence of being a woman? Before that, is it necessary to bring an awareness? Just a thought folks..

Telangana Venkatesh comments on IAS Officers

Posted by Admin on Monday 16 July 2012 | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

Venkatesh in Trouble for Loose-Talk

Minor Irrigation minister TG Venkatesh invited trouble by making objectionable comments against IAS Officers in the state.

During the inauguration of irrigation department's building, TG commented that IAS Officers who aren't committed towards their work should be shot dead. "Due to this corrupt and inefficient officials, Government is facing the wrath of people," stated TG.

TG's comments gained prominence in the wake of government launching Indiramma Baata to reach out to the people. His remarks had created an uproar all over and now the bureaucrats are going to meet chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy seeking action against the Minister. They complain that such comments will demoralize the bureaucracy, damage the image of state government and might also create law & order problem.

Will TG join the list of leaders (DL, Shankar Rao), who faced the axe for their loose-talk? The ball is in Kiran's court now!

Jagan Has No Answer For ED Questions

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

Jagan Has No Answer For 'Single Question'

As expected, Enforcement Directorate is not able to wrap their questioning of Jagan in a day and it is extending for couple of days now. Insiders revealed that the officials have bowled out Jagan with a single question for which the YSR-C chief is not able to give answer.

'Though the French company owns 51% shares in Bharathi Cements, why are you (Jagan) still holding the ownership rights?' asked Enforcement Directorate to Jagan. Some reports in print-media claimed that Jagan went speechless at this question. ED is said to be suspecting that the French company is nothing but a Jagan's duplicate setup abroad to launder illegal money. Both Bharathi Cements and Jagathi Publications got their major investments from Mauritius and France. ED's main accusation is that Jagan has sent bribes received as 'quid pro quo' to these countries and acquired them back as investments.

All these speculations are ruling the columns of print media and we have to see what Enforcement Directorate will say about this.

Khammam TDP Leaders Jumping to YSRC

Posted by Admin on | 0 comments | Leave a comment...

What happens when everyone leaves and just their belongings remain inside an office? It will turn into museum and this is what now happening in Khammam.

Getting confidence with Kodali Nani's acts, cadres and leaders of Telugudesam from different districts are now planning 'jumps'. First to follow this is Khammam district, says a source. MLAs from the district, Sandra Venkataveeraiah and Abbaiah are said to be leading these 'jump jilanis'. It is still unclear whether they will join YSR-Congress or Congress. Though TDP did well in the region during 2009 elections, the party chief's lack of clarity about Telangana issue is making cadres unhappy. If 90% of the cadres jump into other parties, what will happen other than the party office turning into a museum?

TDP's top level leader and Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao is also finding difficult to control the migrations in his district, it seems. We have to see what Naidu will do now!
